My name is Joan, and I am the Owner and Technical Artist behind Renewed Beauty & Tattoo and Ink About It Studios. I have a combined 14 certifications from Innovative Beauty Academy and Blanche Macdonald, which gave me the confidence to undertake any challenges and excel in the beauty and tattoo industry. I have always been drawn to faces, artistry and their beauty combined. I studied at one of the best schools to learn more about bone structure, chiaroscuro, and color theory. Once I completed my certification for Microblading and Permanent Makeup, I enrolled in a tattoo masterclass through Carbon Ink Tattoos. Tattooing and PMU are the perfect fit for me, as I demand perfection from myself.

My favourite beauty styling is "no make-up" make-up, as it gives clients a boost in self-esteem without changing features. I love seeing the natural glow that comes from my clients when they look in the mirror and experience the same feeling as I had when my eyebrows were done. I woke up feeling beautiful and realized that permanent makeup is my craft, but I felt I could do even more an artist. Tattooing was the answer.

I had the vision, passion, and knowledge to change my medium and technique, but needed to learn more. Permanent Makeup and Tattooing was the shift that compelled me to pursue my craft.

I created my studio space from scratch, tearing down walls and building them back up to make my dreams a reality. Handpicking every aspect of Renewed Beauty & Tattoo was an amazing experience, allowing me to create a retreat that is private, warm, inviting, relaxing, and inspiring to do my art while making people shine from the inside.
